Hartman Homes and Somerset Schools Team Up to Build Bird Houses!
Today was a very memorable day in the Spartan Lodge! Hartman Homes and Somerset’s fourth grade class worked together to build over 100 bluebird houses in one day! A big thank you goes to Mr. Herink and his tech ed students for providing the wood components pre-cut and pre-drilled, and for helping with the assembly. It was a great team effort and a great success!
Building birdhouses is a great project for schoolchildren in 4th grade. It’s a fun and creative way to engage the students in something hands-on and inspiring. It can also help teach them important lessons about art, teamwork, and responsibility, as they answer the birds’ call for shelter. With a few basic materials, the students can see their projects come to fruition as they create not only a functional hut, but an artwork of their own.
